L.J. Green or Lillian Jade Green is the pen name for Jolene MacFadden. She has created her very first fiction story series and has published it on Kindle Vella. Since, this project blossomed out of the research that Jolene did while trying to put together a non-fiction history book about the haunted, historical Hotel Blanche in Lake City, Florida it is only fitting that at least one or two fictional ones be created. L.J. is incorporating real people names and occupations inside the story as a way to memorialize them. Sadly, quite a few of the families have died out and there really is no one to remember them anymore. Why not have them as minor characters in our stories?
Mini-Bio from Amazon Profile
Hello, My name is L.J. Green. If you really must know that stands for Lillian Jade Green. I am a newly penned author recounting the tales of my late, great aunt and cousin who were quite the black sheep of the family I must tell you. I had just graduated from high school when our nation was fully involved in some horrific and trying times. With nothing better to do I went to clean out our attic and I found some old diaries. They were tucked away in an old steamer trunk that my mother had inherited from her mother. My own mother was never interested in the contents as they looked to be well-preserved and undisturbed for quite a number of years. I truly enjoyed reading them during that long, hot summer when we had very little money for frills of any kind and no prospects for that changing any time in the future.
Having enjoyed them I thought I would turn them into a fiction series for you to enjoy as well.

The Interview Questions
What’s your writing software of choice and why?
I use Scrivener because it has some wonderful tools. It was quite hard to get use to but with the ability to have all of your research in folders inside the software and the ability to write scenes, create character profiles I am getting use to it. Sadly the compile feature needs some work so I still use Microsoft Word to get my manuscript ready for publication.
If you had the power to cure a disease of your choosing, what would it be?
There are so many but I would have to vote for Alzheimer. Such a wasteful and awful disease.
If you are planning a sequel, can you share a tiny bit about your plans for it?
Yes, the second (and I have ideas for the third and fourth as well), is being created during NaNoWriMo 2022. Check out my user handle @jolenemacinjax
How do you use social media as an author?
Yes, that is the only way most indie authors are going to get readers these days. I have a website and a YouTube Channel. My posts and videos get shared by my publishing company, Southern Dragon Publishing, on their social media accounts as well.
How did you come up with the title for your book?
Actually the final title was created during a brain-storming session with a few of my fellow members of the Lively Ladies Literary Club.
