Skye Taylor is a St. Augustine romance and mystery author and former Peace Corps volunteer who spent two years in the South Pacific before settling into the Ancient City, where she has been an active member of the Romance Writers of America’s Ancient City chapter for years, serving as secretary, conference chair, and treasurer. A skydiver, sailor, and world traveler who has visited fourteen countries on five continents, she has twice won silver in the Royal Palm Literary Awards, for Healing a Hero and Worry Stone, and built her core Camerons of Tide’s Way series around a tight-knit family in a fictional North Carolina coastal town. More recently she’s shifted into mystery with her Jesse Quinn series, a change of pace she has said grew out of wanting a new challenge after years in romance.

Her debut novel, Light Weaver, published by The Wild Rose Press in May 2025, weaves Armenian mythology and folklore into a dark coming-of-age fantasy about a relic thief facing an impossible choice between her family and her kingdom, and won the 2023 SCBWI-Florida Rising Kite Award for Young Adult Fiction even before its release. She was a guest on Jolene’s Book and Writers Talk podcast and continues a family tradition of reading fortunes in Armenian coffee grounds, a practice she says she has yet to master.
