Have you finished your Application for a Free Promo Video

We haven’t had any new takers for a free featured article and promo video in the last two weeks. With everyone hunkering down these last several weeks it should be natural to have us help them feature their writing and possibly introducing them to more new readers. Yes, everyone is scared and most people don’t want to spend money on books and other things they think of as frivolous. But true readers will spend a couple of dollars a week on new reading material. We just have to let everyone know what’s out there for them. Letting people see you as a normal person in the same boat as them is a great way to get more people to give you a try.

If you are not typing away at your next book right now take a break from worrying about things you cannot possibly control and type in your responses on our application and have one of your family members videoing you answering one of the 40 other questions on the list. Be you have good lighting and little to no background noise. Introduce yourself and tell us which question you are answering. Finally, answer the question. Please remember to have a little fun while you’re doing it. You might even want to dress up as one of your characters as you are answering the question. We only need 30 seconds of video to turn it into a great, professional-looking commercial all about your, your featured article and the books you write.

Scheduled Presentation

On a lighter note, I just found out today that my presentation for the Writers Alliance of Gainesville talk scheduled for May 3, 2020, is back on. They have purchased a subscription to Zoom and will be inviting their 400 members to join me online for a talk about book marketing. To be more specific the title is going to be “Top Ten Ways to Market Your Books for Free”. So, if you are a member of WAG, what a name, and would like to join us on the first Sunday in May at 2:00 pm.

Current members will receive an email with a secure link to join in. In the meantime look on Youtube or the Zoom site to see how to join a meeting and the equipment necessary. We created a small critique group last week and used Zoom to talk to each other. This week we had a new person join in on the fun. We may have to purchase a subscription as well. We talked for 2 hours. The free membership limits your online conference to only 40 minutes if there are more than 3 participants.

Once I have finished the presentation I will be adding it to one of my blogs. I don’t know if they will be turning on the recording so that they can upload it to YouTube for people to view later. We will have to see about that later.

Stay tuned for further developments and have a Happy and Safe Easter Holiday.

I am a retired medical office worker who sold everything, bought an old RV and began traveling around the state of Florida with her mother and youngest daughter. We have settled down in the Lake City, Florida area for now as I am writing another book and have began taking on website design and social media content creator clients.
