Wow! I picked this book up, started reading it, and couldn’t put it down. Literally!! I mean, I literally sat down to read a chapter or two and ended up not moving from that spot until I’d read the last page of this book.
I’m getting ready to order copies for 2 different friends to give as gifts and plan to order the series for myself.

Rockette – The 5th Novella in the Destiny Diaries Series

Rockette was standing quiet, staring down at the lottery ticket in her hand!
There were three things she was positive about.
1. The life she loved was about to change.
2. She would do whatever was necessary to protect those she loved.
3. There was no going back.
Rockette Evans served the people of Monroe, Florida as their beloved Nurse Practitioner at Monroe Family Medical Clinic for sixteen years. Her outgoing personality was often the healing balm she administered liberally, along with the best medical remedies available to make life better for her patients that she loved like family members.
Now, with the intrusion of a gift she never asked for, but could not refuse, her world was turned into a nightmare of ‘what ifs’ that not only threatened the life she had worked tirelessly to create but turned her into a person that she could no longer recognize.
Would the nightmare end, or would she see everything she loved stripped away?

Writer Bio

Author Delores Leggett WalkerDolores Luggett Walker’s white life is about family, friends… and fiction.

As a resident of the small community of Mayo Florida for over 60 years, she continues to find inspiration in the rhythm of the everyday lives of the people she meets. Although she didn’t publish her first books (Promised trilogy including Legend of Promise, Gathering Promises, and Promises Kept), until her retirement, her years as the newspaper reporter for the Mayo Free Press and the school substitute offered excellent training for her upcoming literary journal journey. The 2013 debut of her writing career was so well received she decided Christian/Fiction was a good fit for her and to date has published a books; the Promise trilogy and four novellas in the Destiny Diaries series (Sailor DaltryKerryLynnZac) and one Southern family book, Daddy’s Supper Tales, highlighting the adventures of her childhood.

In 2023, she released her fifth Destiny Diaries novella Rockette, and in 2024, her sixth Destiny Diaries novella entitled Rick. She loves her life, which includes a large extended family who call her mama, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great-grandma. Five generations of storylines, plots, and incredible adventures fill the pages of her books, and they love to be shared.
When not at the keyboard of her computer writing and promoting herself published books she is playing keyboard for the praise and worship team at her church with plans to use the talent god bless her to have for as many days as she’s here on Earth.
