Starling grew up in the small town of Mayo, Florida, always with an open book in a quiet corner. Now she enjoys writing as well. Also known as Dale, she has used her computer skills for many years in her professional and private life. Now Dale uses these skills in her new endeavor as an author. Since starting this adventure, other authors have asked her to help with their creations.
She has pooled all their questions and requests for help into this series of books. With a third one on the way, this series is geared toward providing the reader with a one-on-one tutoring session to help pull their book together and publish successfully. Book 1 focuses on formatting using a commonly used word processing program – Microsoft Word. Book 2 focuses on creating a cover for your book and uploading both the manuscript and the cover file to KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing). Book 3, soon to come, will discuss converting your physical book to an ebook format and creating QR codes, as well as other formatting skills such as bleed and drop caps.
