Florida Author Events

2 min read

There are a number of regular Florida Author Events most of which are further down the state. There is one annual event that is held in the heart of North Florida. Well, Gainesville, Florida to be exact and it is called the Sunshine State Book Festival. Which is generally held in late January each year. They have had a rocky start but have grown to include 150 author participants this coming January 28th. The crazy thing is that they even have quite a long waiting list.

I know you may be asking yourself why I am telling you about this on this website. Mostly because a lot of North Florida authors will be at this event. Granted it attracts authors from all of the state and we even have some coming from all across the U.S. But as with any good cheerleader (promoter or supporter), I just want to let you know that there will be a wide variety of North Florida Authors all in one place for you to buy their books, get them autographed and ask lots of questions.

Jolene has volunteered her services as a Social Media Coordinator for this event and have been working diligently creating videos, posters, and memes about the event and the authors participating so that they can get thousands and thousands of visitors. For most authors this might be their main opportunity to earn some money, gain new followers and meet other local writers. It is a great opportunity for those who love books and those who write them to come together have a wonderful time immersed in nothing but books, stories and writing. Some of the authors we have had as guests on this blog will be attending and even Jolene has a table as well.
